Regular Season Round 23: Ural Ekaterinb. - Avtodor 75-69

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Avtodor (16-5) against fourth ranked Ural Ekaterinburg (15-4) on Sunday night. Visiting Avtodor was defeated by Ural Ekaterinburg in a tough game in Ekaterinburg 69-75. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Avtodor. The hosts were already 12 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 25-19 Avtodor's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 75-69 at the end of the game. It was a great evening for American guard Lance Harris (195-84, college: Kansas St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import power forward Aaron McGhee (203-79, college: Oklahoma) helped adding 20 points and 7 rebounds. Ural Ekaterinburg's coach Oleg Okulov allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Artem Klimenko (214-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Aleksei Vzdykhalkin (192-85, agency: Interperformances) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Avtodor players scored in double figures. Ural Ekaterinburg moved-up to third place. Avtodor at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Ural Ekaterinburg will play against Ataman (#13) in Rostov in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Avtodor will have a break next round.
