Very expected game when 6th ranked Atomeromu (6-7) was crushed on the road by second ranked PEAC-Pecs (9-3) 97-59. The game was mostly controlled by PEAC-Pecs. Atomeromu was better in fourth quarter 25-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Atomeromu to just 7 points in second quarter. PEAC-Pecs dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Atomeromu's 28 and made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. PEAC-Pecs forced 26 Atomeromu turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Atomeromu helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Quite impressive performance for Jamaican-American point guard Maurita Reid (172-85, college: Miami, FL) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Nora Nagy-Bujdoso (185-85, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four PEAC-Pecs players scored in double figures. Forward Dorina Zele (185-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and Serbian guard Maja Scekic (169-87) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for Atomeromu. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. PEAC-Pecs maintains second position with 9-3 record behind leader UNIQA Eurol., which they share with WF DVTK. Atomeromu lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with seven games lost. PEAC-Pecs' next round opponent will be UNI Gyor (#4) on the road. Atomeromu will play against WF DVTK and hope to win that game.
