No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked PEAC-Pecs (10-4) crushed at home 8th ranked MTK (3-11) 105-76. The game without a history. PEAC-Pecs led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 62.3 percent from the field and made 16-of-16 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. PEAC-Pecs forced 25 MTK turnovers. They shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. PEAC-Pecs players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Jamaican-American point guard Maurita Reid (172-85, college: Miami, FL) scored 23 points, 5 assists and 4 steals (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian Nevena Jovanovic (179-90) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five PEAC-Pecs players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Viktoria Orso (176-86) with 18 points and Bosnian center Dragana Svitlica (190-88, agency: IPSA) scored 18 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. PEAC-Pecs maintains fourth position with 10-4 record. MTK lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 11 games lost. PEAC-Pecs will play against ZTE NKK (#7) in Zalaegerszeg in the next round. MTK will play at home against MKB Euroleasing and hopes to get back on the winning track.
