Second Stage Round 2: Kormend - Marso NYKK 101-87

Not a big story in a game when Marso NYKK (6-21) was defeated on the road by Kormend (15-12) 101-87 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Kormend. Marso NYKK was better in fourth quarter 31-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Kormend looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Montenegrin forward Zarko Rakocevic (204-84, agency: Interperformances) scored 20 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman Muhammad El Amin (196-87, college: Stony Brook, agency: TSS Management) chipped in 22 points and 6 assists during the contest. American point guard Will Walker (183-87, college: De Paul) responded with 36 points (!!!), 5 assists and 6 steals and his fellow American import swingman Jara Doyne (193-84, college: Mississippi) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Kormend and four Marso NYKK players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kormend will face PVSK Pannon in Pecs in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
