Regular Season Round 29: Elbrus Cherk. - Tegas DR 70-81

Another interesting game for Tegas DR (11-19) which played in Cherkessk against Elbrus Cherk. (10-20). Sixth ranked Tegas DR had an easy win 81-70. Elbrus Cherk. was ahead by 15 points at the halftime before a 56-30 second half run of Tegas DR. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Elbrus Cherk. to just 7 points in third quarter. Strangely Elbrus Cherk. outrebounded Tegas DR 41-23 including a 19-3 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Klim Muskulis (184-88) stepped up and scored 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and forward Anatoliy Minin (197-80) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Oleg Buznyakov (208-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Andrey Pavlov (191-86) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Five Tegas DR and four Elbrus Cherk. players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Tegas DR maintains sixth place in League with 11-19 record. Elbrus Cherk. at the other side keeps the seventh position with 20 games lost. Tegas DR will play against higher ranked Rodniki Izh. (#4) in Izhevsk in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Elbrus Cherk. will have a break next round.
