Top ranked Neftekhimik T. (22-6) recorded its sixth loss in Voronezh on Wednesday night. Visitors were edged by third ranked Sogdiana-Skif (16-10) 83-82. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Neftekhimik T. won fourth quarter 21-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sogdiana-Skif forced 19 Neftekhimik T. turnovers and had a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Center Yuriy Kochnev (209-89) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Roman Khamitov (199-84) chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals. Forward Konstantin Novikov (202-87) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Gleb Beygelzimer (183-87) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sogdiana-Skif maintains third place in League with 16-10 record having eight points less than leader Neftekhimik T. Neftekhimik T. at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. Sogdiana-Skif are looking forward to face league's second-placed Sojuz Zaretchny on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Neftekhimik T. will have a break next round.
