Second Stage Round 2: Kormend - Falco KC 86-82

Date: March 22, 2014
Rather predictable result when Kormend (15-12) defeated at home Falco KC (9-17) 86-82 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Falco KC was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Falco KC was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. Montenegrin forward Zarko Rakocevic (204-84, agency: Interperformances) had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and American-Liberian point guard Jaytornah Wisseh (185-88, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: TSS Management) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. Guard Zoltan Perl (195-95, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) responded with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and American forward Jonathan Mitchell (200-87, college: Rutgers) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kormend will face PVSK Pannon in Pecs in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Falco KC will play on the road against Szedeak in Szeged and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
