Regular Season Round 25: EI Massagno - Lugano Tigers 66-110

LNA top team - Lugano Tigers (20-5) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked EI Massagno (6-19) 110-66. The game without a history. Lugano Tigers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Lugano Tigers outrebounded EI Massagno 44-21 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Lugano Tigers players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American players dominated the game. Power forward Travis Watson (202-81, college: Virginia) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. Swingman Devin Sweetney (198-87, college: St.Francis, PA, agency: IBS) chipped in 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists. Five Lugano Tigers players scored in double figures. Lugano Tigers' coach Andrea Petitpierre felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Cory Johnson (200-88, college: Valparaiso) produced 24 points and power forward Dante Taylor (206-90, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Three Eye Sports) added 18 points and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Lugano Tigers maintains first place with 20-5 record. EI Massagno at the other side keeps the seventh position with 19 games lost. Lugano Tigers' next round opponent will be Monthey (#5) at home.
