The most surprising game was a loss of Atomeromu (2-1) in Paks on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by Alba (1-2) in overtime 71-66. The guests trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 17-8 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 5-point victory in overtime. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Alba made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for guard Zoltan Supola (190-88, agency: TSS Management) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points. American center Kyle Barone (208-89, college: Idaho) helped adding 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Alba players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American Rodney McGruder (193-91, college: Kansas St.) with 17 points and 7 rebounds and international forward Zsolt Szabo (202-86, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Alba are looking forward to face Kaposvari (#6) on the road in the next round. Atomeromu will have a break next round.
