Very important is a road loss of third ranked Sopron KC (2-2) against fifth ranked KTE-Duna Aszfalt (2-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Sopron KC was defeated by KTE-Duna Aszfalt in a tough game in Papa 75-81. The winners were led by international point guard Krisztian Wittmann (184-85) who scored that evening 16 points and Serbian swingman Marko Derasimovic (199-84, agency: BeoExcell) supported him with 17 points. Four KTE-Duna Aszfalt players scored in double figures. KTE-Duna Aszfalt's coach Goran Miljkovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 25 points and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) by naturalized American point guard Dontay Thomas (187-84, college: La Salle, agency: TSS Management) did not help to save the game for Sopron KC. Montenegrin power forward Filip Barovic (207-90) added 22 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for lost side. KTE-Duna Aszfalt moved-up to third place in Division. KTE-Duna Aszfalt will play against Alba (#6) in Szekesfehervar in the next round. Sopron KC will play at home against the league's leader Szolnok and hopes to get back on the winning track.
