The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked MTK's (4-12) home victory over 9th ranked Cegledi EKK (3-14) in Budapest 84-58. The game without a history. MTK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Cegledi EKK's 34. MTK forced 21 Cegledi EKK turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Dora Medgyessy (174-86) who scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. MTK maintains eighth place with 4-12 record. Cegledi EKK at the other side keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. MTK's next round opponent will be higher ranked PINKK-Pecsi (#4) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cegledi EKK will play against MKB Eurl.Vasas (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
