Everything went according to plan when second ranked PEAC-Pecs (15-4) beat at home 5th ranked UNI Gyor (11-7) 73-64. The hosts were already 11 points ahead at halftime and as many as 21 after three quarters before a 26-14 last quarter charge of UNI Gyor cut the lead to 73-64 at the end of the game. PEAC-Pecs made 29-of-33 charity shots (87.9 percent) during the game, while UNI Gyor only scored nine points from the stripe. PEAC-Pecs forced 19 UNI Gyor turnovers. UNI Gyor was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Australian center Abby Bishop (189-88) notched 16 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Jamaican-American point guard Maurita Reid (172-85, college: Miami, FL) supported her with 12 points.
