Second Stage Round 6: Szolnok - Alba 77-72

Rather predictable result when top-ranked Szolnok (4-0) defeated at home 3rd ranked Alba (2-4) 77-72 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-72. American Justin Holiday (198-89, college: Washington) scored 19 points to lead the charge for the winners and international swingman David Vojvoda (196-90, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Ramone Moore (193-89, college: Temple) with 31 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center Gergely Somogyi (216-89, college: UCSB) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Szolnok maintains first position in Division with 4-0 record. Defending champion Alba dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. Szolnok will face Kaposvari (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Alba will play against Sopron KC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
