The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Atomeromu as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Division. Atomeromu defeated 3rd placed KTE-Duna Aszfalt in Paks 71-58. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Atomeromu's pressure prevailed and they won that period 17-9 extending their advantage to 13 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to KTE-Duna Aszfalt's 20 and made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. KTE-Duna Aszfalt was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. The former international Gergely Koertelyesi (202-83, agency: TSS Management) accounted for 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Serbian swingman Marko Derasimovic (199-84, agency: BeoExcell) came up with 17 points and Serbian Nikola Jovanovic (203-81, agency: BeoExcell) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for KTE-Duna Aszfalt in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Newly promoted KTE-Duna Aszfalt keeps the third place with four games lost. KTE-Duna Aszfalt will play next round against strong Szolnok trying to get back on the winning streak. Atomeromu will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Alba at Szekesfehervar.
