Second Stage Round 7: Kaposvari - Szolnok 97-76

There was a change at the A Division leadership position after last games. Round 7 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Szolnok (4-1). They were crushed by sixth ranked Kaposvari (2-4) 97-76 on Wednesday night. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 97-76. It was a great evening for Croatian guard Hrvoje Puljko (193-83, agency: Global Sports Plaza) who led his team to a victory scoring 32 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Louis Hinnant (193-84, college: Boston Coll., agency: IBS) helped adding 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Kaposvari players scored in double figures. Kaposvari's coach Adam Fekete felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American Justin Holiday (198-89, college: Washington) responded with 19 points and the former international Peter Lorant (206-85, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) scored 19 points. Kaposvari moved-up to fifth place in Division. Szolnok at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Kormend. Szolnok will play next round against strong KTE-Duna Aszfalt trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Kaposvari will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Sopron KC at home.
