Seventh-ranked Marso NYKK (7-24) gave a tough game to third ranked Szedeak (15-16) in Szeged on Wednesday. Szedeak managed to secure only three-point victory 78-75. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 24-10 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. The former international Akos Horvath (193-81, agency: TSS Management) fired 26 points for the winners. American forward Jerrell Williams (203-88, college: La Salle) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Szedeak players scored in double figures. Croatian center Matija Poscic (206-85, college: De Paul) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and American swingman Jara Doyne (193-84, college: Mississippi) added 22 points (made all of his seven free throws) respectively for lost side. Szedeak maintains third place in Division with 15-16 record having just two points less than leader Kormend. Loser Marso NYKK keeps the seventh position with 24 games lost. Szedeak will meet league's leader Kormend on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Marso NYKK will play against Jaszberenyi (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
