The game between closely ranked teams ended with their biggest opponent Atomeromu's (7-3) road loss to first ranked Szolnok (9-1) 55-77 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Szolnok. Atomeromu was better in second period 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Szolnok dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Atomeromu's 28. Quite impressive performance for American Justin Holiday (198-89, college: Washington) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Deonta Vaughn (185-86, college: Cincinnati) added 9 points and 5 assists in the effort for Atomeromu. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Szolnok maintains first position in Division with 9-1 record. Loser Atomeromu keeps the second place with three games lost.
