Neuchatel defeated Lugano Tigers at home 77-68. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Senegalese power forward Babacar Toure (205-85) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Senegalese power forward Pape Badji (208-92) chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. American guard Rickey Gibson (192-84, college: Stillman) responded with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import Matt Schneiderman (202-81, college: N.Iowa) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lugano Tigers will play next round against Starwings trying to get back on the winning streak. Neuchatel will try to continue on its current victory against Massagno at home.
