Regular Season Round 1: MTK - UNIQA Eurol. 68-94
Date: October 18, 2014
We should mention about the upset which took place in Budapest, where MTK (0-1) was outleveled at home by MKB Euroleasing (1-0) 94-68. The game without a history. MKB Euroleasing led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. MKB Euroleasing forced 23 MTK turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Serbian-Bosnian center Dragana Stankovic (195-95, agency: IPSA) nailed 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and naturalized Serbian center Sara Krnjic (191-91) accounted for 15 points and 10 rebounds. Five MKB Euroleasing players scored in double figures. Power forward Judit Barnai (190-94) came up with 13 points and 7 rebounds and center Viktoria Vincze (189-87) added 17 points respectively for MTK in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. MKB Euroleasing's next round opponent will be ZTE NKK in Zalaegerszeg and are hoping to win another game. MTK's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Budapest to the arena MKB Eurl.Vasas.
