Regular Season Round 3: Falco KC - MAFC 105-72

Very expected game when MAFC (0-2) was smashed by Falco KC (2-0) in Szombathely 105-72 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Falco KC. MAFC was better in fourth quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Falco KC forced 24 MAFC turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Falco KC looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by MAFC's players. MAFC was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Montenegrin point guard Goran Martinic (187-87) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 5 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). American Jara Doyne (193-84, college: Mississippi) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Five Falco KC players scored in double figures. Greek center Stavros Toutziarakis (210-87, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and guard Zsolt Lakosa (194-91, college: MidAmerica Naz.) added 22 points in the effort for MAFC. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Falco KC will face ZTE KK in Zalaegerszeg in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MAFC will play on the road against Szedeak in Szeged and hopes to get finally their first victory.
