No shocking result in a game when PINKK-Pecsi (2-0) crushed at home Cegledi EKK (0-2) 96-58 on Saturday. The game without a history. PINKK-Pecsi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Cegledi EKK's 32 and made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. PINKK-Pecsi forced 26 Cegledi EKK turnovers and outrebounded them 45-32 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Latvian power forward Aija Putnina (191-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and American-Swedish guard Ashley Key (177-85, college: N.Carolina St.) supported her with 22 points and 4 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four PINKK-Pecsi players scored in double figures. PINKK-Pecsi's coach Roberto Hernandez felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 21 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists by Serbian Maja Skoric (185-89, agency: IPSA) did not help to save the game for Cegledi EKK. Center Anett Serban (185-85) added 16 points for the guests. PINKK-Pecsi will meet Atomeromu in the next round where they are favorite. Cegledi EKK will play against UNI Gyor and hope to win that game.
