Important game to mention about took place in Kazan. Fifth ranked Gloria Moscow (4-4) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Kazanochka (2-2) 72-69 on Tuesday evening. Gloria Moscow forced 28 Kazanochka turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Guard Ekaterina Klykova (170-87) stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and forward Anastasia Gavrilova (187-88) chipped in 7 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Mariia Popova (182-84) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and the former international center Maria Nikitina (200-84) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Gloria Moscow moved-up to third place, which they share with Neftyanik. Kazanochka at the other side keeps the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with Samara. Gloria Moscow will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kazanochka will play on the road against the league's second-placed MBA-Dynamo in Moscow and hopes to get back on the winning track.
