Regular Season Round 6: KTE-Duna Aszfalt - MAFC 81-66

Bottom-ranked MAFC is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to fourth ranked KTE-Duna Aszfalt (4-1) 81-66. The game was mostly controlled by KTE-Duna Aszfalt. MAFC was better in fourth quarter 23-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. KTE-Duna Aszfalt forced 19 MAFC turnovers. MAFC was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard James Kinney (188-90, college: San Jose St.) scored 29 points and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Montenegrin power forward Filip Barovic (207-90) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Levente Misek (193-93) with 16 points and Greek center Stavros Toutziarakis (210-87, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KTE-Duna Aszfalt maintains fourth position with 4-1 record. Newly promoted MAFC still closes the standings with five games lost. KTE-Duna Aszfalt will play against Szedeak (#9) in Szeged in the next round where they are favorite. MAFC will play at home against Marso NYKK (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
