Regular Season Round 6: Atomeromu - Szedeak 90-51
Date: November 8, 2014
The game between third ranked Atomeromu (5-1) and 8th ranked Szedeak (2-3) in Paks on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Atomeromu outscored guests from Szeged 90-51. The game was mostly controlled by Atomeromu. Szedeak managed to win fourth quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Szedeak to just 5 points in third quarter. Atomeromu dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Szedeak's 16. They outrebounded Szedeak 43-24 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Naturalized American power forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) notched a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and American point guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) supported him with 12 points and 9 assists. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 5 rebounds by swingman Zsolt Kiss (195-79, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) did not help to save the game for Szedeak. Serbian point guard Branko Jereminov (187-87) added 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Atomeromu have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Sopron KC. Loser Szedeak dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. Atomeromu will meet league's leader Falco KC in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Szedeak will play against KTE-Duna Aszfalt (#4) and hope to secure a win.
