Rather expected game when 9th ranked Stary Sobol NT (1-6) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Samara-2 (3-2) 68-61 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was power forward Sergey Zhulkov (203-95) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. point guard Evgeniy Kusakin (184-92) chipped in 16 points. Samara-2's coach Igor Gratchev used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Anton Voskresenskiy (189-87) produced 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and guard Aleksey Makarov (191-92) added 22 points respectively for the guests. Samara-2 moved-up to fifth place in League. Loser Stary Sobol NT dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. Samara-2 will face again Stary Sobol NT (#10) in Nizhny Tagil in the next round where they are favorite.
