Regular Season Round 7: Falco KC - Atomeromu 81-94

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Falco KC (5-1) in Szombathely on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Atomeromu (6-1) 94-81. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Falco KC. It was a key game for the top position in the league as both teams had the same 5-1 record before this meeting. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a great evening for American point guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 9 rebounds. International forward Zsolt Szabo (202-86, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) helped adding 18 points. At the losing side Montenegrin point guard Goran Martinic (187-87) responded with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Serbian power forward Milan Majstorovic (208-83, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Atomeromu have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Sopron KC. Falco KC at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. They share the position with KTE-Duna Aszfalt. Atomeromu will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Falco KC will play on the road against PVSK Pannon in Pecs and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
