Regular Season Round 8: Neuchatel - Boncourt 82-76
Date: November 15, 2014
Very expected game when 8th ranked Boncourt (1-7) lost on the road to third ranked Neuchatel (6-2) 82-76. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were ahead by 18 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 28-21 run, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese power forward Babacar Toure (205-85) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian forward Ivan Kuburovic (202-81) who added 19 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Neuchatel players scored in double figures. American guard Vernard Hollins (190-80, college: Wright St.) responded with 16 points and 7 assists and his fellow American import forward Brian Morris (205-87, college: Humboldt St.) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Neuchatel have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Geneve Lions. Boncourt lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with seven games lost. Neuchatel will play against Lugano Tigers (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Boncourt will play against Massagno (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
