Regular Season Round 5: ZTE NKK - UNI Gyor 79-74

A Division round 5 caused change at the leadership position. First defeat of league's leader UNI Gyor (4-1) against sixth ranked ZTE NKK (2-3) 79-74 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of UNI Gyor. UNI Gyor was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 22-16 charge of ZTE NKK, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 UNI Gyor turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by UNI Gyor helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Dora Nagy (170-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 5 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). International forward Dorina Zele (185-92) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five ZTE NKK players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Anna Vadja (191-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and Serbian point guard Tamara Radocaj (170-87, agency: Interperformances) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for UNI Gyor. ZTE NKK maintains sixth place with 2-3 record. UNI Gyor at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with Miskolc and PINKK-Pecsi. They were replaced at the leadership position by UNIQA Eurol.. UNI Gyor will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. ZTE NKK will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Miskolc at home.
