Regular Season Round 7: Jaszberenyi - Kaposvari 112-92

An interesting game took place in Jaszberenyi where higher ranked Kaposvari (3-4) was upset on the court of tenth ranked Jaszberenyi (3-5) 112-92. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kaposvari. The game was mostly controlled by Jaszberenyi. Kaposvari was better in second period 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jaszberenyi players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Kaposvari's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian center Rastko Dramicanin (208-86, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Swingman Balazs Kerpel-Fronius (195-92) contributed with 31 points for the winners. Jaszberenyi's coach Tamas Bencze used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international power forward Roland Hendlein (204-86) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Matthew Gibson (193-84) added 21 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) in the effort for Kaposvari. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jaszberenyi moved-up to ninth place. Kaposvari at the other side dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Jaszberenyi will have a break next round.
