Bottom-ranked Dyn.-GUVD (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 80-63 loss to fifth ranked Spartak Vidnoye (3-2) in Vidnoye on Sunday evening. They also forced 19 Dyn.-GUVD turnovers and outrebounded them 46-20 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Spartak Vidnoye made 7 blocks. Belgian center Emma Meesseman (192-93, agency: LBM Management) stepped up and scored 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and American center Stefanie Dolson (196-92, college: Connecticut) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized Belarusian center Firuza Bekmetova (200-86, agency: LBM Management) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and Belgian point guard Noemie Mayombo (170-91, agency: LBM Management) scored 12 points and 7 assists. Four Dyn.-GUVD players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spartak Vidnoye maintains fifth place with 3-2 record. Dyn.-GUVD lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. They share the position with Spartak N.. Spartak Vidnoye will meet league's second-placed UMMC Ekaterinburg on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
