Regular Season Round 9: Atomeromu - Marso NYKK 88-69

A Division top team - Atomeromu (7-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Marso NYKK (3-5) in Paks 88-69. The game without a history. Atomeromu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Marso NYKK's 38. They outrebounded Marso NYKK 48-29 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Atomeromu looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Naturalized American power forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) nailed 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and international forward Zsolt Szabo (202-86, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) accounted for 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. American guard Jeremy Wise (191-86, college: S.Mississippi) came up with 13 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Bosnian power forward Nermin Hujdurovic (205-88) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Marso NYKK in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Atomeromu have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-1 record, which they share with Sopron KC. Marso NYKK lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with Szedeak. Atomeromu will meet KTE-Duna Aszfalt (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Marso NYKK will play against Falco KC (#4) in Szombathely and hope to secure a win.
