Regular Season Round 9: PVSK Pannon - Sopron KC 71-74

The most exciting game of round 9 in the A Division took place in Pecs. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 7th ranked PVSK Pannon (4-5) to third ranked Sopron KC (7-1) 74-71 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 24-17 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Sopron KC outrebounded PVSK Pannon 37-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for international point guard Dontay Thomas (187-84, college: La Salle) who led his team to a victory with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Montenegrin swingman Milos Borisov (198-85, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American guard Anthony Nelson (185-89, college: Niagara) answered with 20 points and 5 assists and Swedish Martin Pahlmblad (193-86, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) added 13 points in the effort for PVSK Pannon. Sopron KC have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Atomeromu. PVSK Pannon at the other side keeps the seventh place with five games lost. Sopron KC is looking forward to face Kormend (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. PVSK Pannon will have a break next round.
