Round 12 in Superleague means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Novosybirsk where host Novosybirsk (7-1) beat league's leader Parma (7-1) 90-81 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Parma. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Novosybirsk shot 28 for 39 from the free-throw line, while Parma only scored twelve points from the stripe. Novosybirsk had a 27-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by Parma helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was swingman Igor Smygin (197-87, agency: Alti Sport) who scored 25 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Guard Sergey Tokarev (190-85) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Anton Brevnov (191-87) who recorded 19 points and point guard Maxim Dybovskiy (192-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Five Novosybirsk and four Parma players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Novosybirsk keeps a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Parma. Parma will play next round against AltajBasket trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Novosybirsk will try to continue on its current victory against fourteenth ranked Izhevsk at home.
