Regular Season Round 11: Ladoga SP - MBA-Dynamo 47-53

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Ladoga SP (11-3) in St.Petersburg on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by second ranked MBA-Dynamo (8-6) 53-47. MBA-Dynamo held Ladoga SP to an opponent 22.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 34.6 percent accuracy of the winners. Ekaterina Sytnyak (184-82, agency: LBM Management) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Elizaveta Bratchikova (190-96) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Olga Karelina answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and forward Aleksandra Burenkova (178-90) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Ladoga SP. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MBA-Dynamo maintains second place with 8-6 record having just three points less than leader Ladoga SP. Ladoga SP at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. MBA-Dynamo are looking forward to face Voronezh-SKIF (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Ladoga SP will play against Gloria Moscow (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
