KTE-Duna Aszfalt (7-1) outlasted Atomeromu (7-2) in overtime by two points 77-75 on Thursday night. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Atomeromu. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Atomeromu was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 17-13 charge of KTE-Duna Aszfalt, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 7-5. KTE-Duna Aszfalt outrebounded Atomeromu 44-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. Serbian swingman Marko Derasimovic (198-84, agency: BeoExcell) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard James Kinney (188-90, college: San Jose St.) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four KTE-Duna Aszfalt players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized American power forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and American point guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. KTE-Duna Aszfalt have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Atomeromu at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. KTE-Duna Aszfalt will face Marso NYKK (#10) in Nyiregyhazi in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
