Regular Season Round 10: Kormend - MAFC 95-61

There was a minor upset when 11th ranked MAFC (2-7) was crushed on the road by thirteenth ranked Kormend (2-8) 95-61 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Kormend. MAFC was better in third quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to MAFC's 28. Kormend looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by MAFC's players. British power forward Ryan Richards (212-91, agency: Interperformances) scored 24 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Walter Lemon Jr. (190-92, college: Bradley, agency: N.E.T.) chipped in 13 points and 9 assists during the contest. Four Kormend players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Zsolt Lakosa (194-91, college: MidAmerica Naz.) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Neiko Hunter (201-90, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kormend moved-up to twelfth place. Newly promoted MAFC keeps the eleventh position with seven games lost. Kormend will have a break next round.
