Regular Season Round 11: Sopron KC - Falco KC 102-74

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sopron. First ranked Sopron KC faced 4th placed Falco KC. Host Sopron KC (9-1) smashed guests from Szombathely (7-3) 102-74. It looked good early as Falco KC took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Sopron KC had a 20-16 second period charge getting the lead and Falco KC was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 74-102. Sopron KC made 26-of-30 charity shots (86.7 percent) during the game, while Falco KC only scored five points from the stripe. Falco KC was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Croatian center Matija Poscic (206-85, college: De Paul) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Montenegrin swingman Milos Borisov (198-85, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Poscic is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Montenegrin point guard Goran Martinic (187-87) answered with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Serbian power forward Milan Majstorovic (208-83, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Falco KC. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sopron KC have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-1 record. Falco KC at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Sopron KC will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Falco KC will play on the road against Kaposvari (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
