Regular Season Round 11: MAFC - ZTE KK 94-65
Date: December 6, 2014
The game with biggest result difference took place in Budapest. Local MAFC (3-7) outscored 13th ranked ZTE KK (1-8) 94-65 on Saturday night. The game without a history. MAFC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. MAFC shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. Worth to mention a quality performance of Greek center Stavros Toutziarakis (210-87, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Parrish Brown (185-84, college: Maryland) helped adding 21 points. Five MAFC players scored in double figures. American forward Nathan Healy (201-90, college: Appalachian St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and Serbian power forward Nemanja Ilic (206-83) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MAFC moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Marso NYKK and Jaszberenyi. ZTE KK lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with eight games lost. MAFC will meet at home higher ranked PVSK Pannon (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ZTE KK will play against Atomeromu (#3) and hope to win that game.
