The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Parma as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Parma smashed 7th ranked Universitet-Yugra in Perm 87-67. Parma forced 27 Universitet-Yugra turnovers. They shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Guard Sergey Chernov (186-86) notched 15 points and 8 assists to lead the effort and forward Konstantin Bulanov (201-90) supported him with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Parma players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds by Serbian Nikola Lepojevic (195-82, agency: BeoExcell) did not help to save the game for Universitet-Yugra. Azerbaijani center Aleksandr Rindin (225-85, agency: Interperformances) added 8 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Universitet-Yugra at the other side dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with Dynamo MO and Spartak-Prim.. Universitet-Yugra will play next round against Izhevsk trying to get back on the winning streak. Parma will try to continue on its current victory against sixteenth ranked MBA Moscow at home.
