Regular Season Round 12: Boncourt - Lugano Tigers 66-80

Date: December 7, 2014
Very expected game when 7th ranked Boncourt (2-10) was defeated at home by second ranked Lugano Tigers (8-4) 80-66 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Lugano Tigers. Boncourt was better in third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of British forward Keith Rendleman (203-90, college: NC-Wilmington) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds and American swingman Antonio Ballard (193-88, college: Miami, OH) who added 21 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Ballard is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Lugano Tigers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Brian Morris (205-87, college: Humboldt St.) with 16 points and 8 rebounds and international Nicolas Dos Santos (200-87) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Boncourt lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with ten games lost. Lugano Tigers will face Massagno (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Boncourt will play against Starwings and hope to win that game.
