Regular Season Round 15: Samara-2 - Cheboksari 66-71

There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Samara-2 (7-5) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Cheboksari (6-8) 71-66 on Monday. Samara-2 was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for power forward Anton Bogdan (198-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Power forward Oleg Buznyakov (208-88) helped adding 15 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was point guard Vasily Martynov (185-95) with 17 points and power forward Sergey Zhulkov (203-95) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Samara-2's coach Igor Gratchev tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cheboksari moved-up to sixth place in League. Loser Samara-2 keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
