Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Kazanochka and 6th ranked Neftyanik had identical 7-7 record. This time Kazanochka used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Omsk 62-56. Kazanochka outrebounded Neftyanik 45-24 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. Neftyanik was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Viktoriya Plotnikova (181-85) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 blocks. The former international center Maria Nikitina (200-84) accounted for 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Swingman Ekaterina Kiryanova (180-90) came up with 18 points and Elena Elgina added 11 points and 4 steals respectively for Neftyanik in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kazanochka have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 8-7 record, which they share with Gloria Moscow and Samara. Neftyanik at the other side dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost.
