Regular Season Round 10: MKB Eurl.Vasas - Cegledi EKK 65-74

Bottom-ranked MKB Eurl.Vasas (0-9) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 74-65 loss to eighth ranked Cegledi EKK (3-6) in Budapest. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Cegledi EKK forced 20 MKB Eurl.Vasas turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian guard Brankica Hadzovic (175-81) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 4 assists. Serbian Maja Skoric (185-89, agency: IPSA) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Cegledi EKK's coach Laszlo Cziczas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Viktoria Bajnoczi (182-90) replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds and center Bernadett Hatar (208-94) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for MKB Eurl.Vasas. Cegledi EKK maintains eighth position with 3-6 record. MKB Eurl.Vasas at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Cegledi EKK will play against higher ranked Miskolc (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. MKB Eurl.Vasas will play against PEAC-Pecs (#3) and hope to get finally their first victory.
