Regular Season Round 14: Atomeromu - Kormend 88-79

No shocking result in a game in Paks where third ranked Atomeromu (10-2) defeated 12th ranked Kormend (2-10) 88-79. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-19. But Kormend won second period 20-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Atomeromu dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Kormend's 44. They outrebounded Kormend 42-30 including 27 on the defensive glass. American point guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized American power forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. British power forward Ryan Richards (212-91, agency: Interperformances) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Walter Lemon Jr. (190-92, college: Bradley, agency: N.E.T.) added 24 points in the effort for Kormend. Atomeromu have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-2 record behind leader Sopron KC. Kormend at the other side keeps the twelfth place with ten games lost. Atomeromu will play against PVSK Pannon (#6) in Pecs in the next round. Kormend will have a break next round.
