Regular Season Round 14: Marso NYKK - Jaszberenyi 91-95

Everything could happen in Nyiregyhazi at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Jaszberenyi and 10th ranked Marso NYKK had identical 3-8 record. But Marso NYKK was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Jaszberenyi 95-91. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 27-21. But Marso NYKK won second period 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jaszberenyi made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Marso NYKK's coach Erno Sitku tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Jaszberenyi (4-8) moved-up to ninth place. Marso NYKK lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with nine games lost. They share it with MAFC. Jaszberenyi will play against higher ranked Alba (#7) in Szekesfehervar in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Marso NYKK will play on the road against ZTE KK in Zalaegerszeg and hopes to get back on the winning track.
