Everything went according to plan in Moscow where sixth ranked Elbrus Cherk. (8-12) edged 10th ranked MBA-Runa (5-15) 72-71 on Sunday. Elbrus Cherk. forced 21 MBA-Runa turnovers. MBA-Runa was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized Nigerian center Aleksey Adediran (202-82, college: Binghamton) had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Aleksandr Prikazchikov (210-91) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Ivan Vadeev (200-93) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and guard Konstantin Babynin (192-88) scored 17 points. MBA-Runa's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Elbrus Cherk. maintains sixth position in League with 8-12 record. Newly promoted MBA-Runa keeps the tenth place with 15 games lost. Elbrus Cherk. will face Kamit-Univ. (#7) in Tver in the next round. MBA-Runa will play at home against Dynamo-CBK and hope to win that game.
