Not a big story in a game in Budapest where 12th ranked MAFC (3-14) was outplayed by third ranked KTE-Duna Aszfalt (13-3) 86-61 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by KTE-Duna Aszfalt. MAFC was better in third quarter 27-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding MAFC to just 4 points in second quarter. KTE-Duna Aszfalt dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to MAFC's 20. They outrebounded MAFC 42-21 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth place with 14 games lost. KTE-Duna Aszfalt will face Szedeak (#7) in Szeged in the next round. MAFC will play on the road against Marso NYKK (#10) in Nyiregyhazi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
