Regular Season Round 20: Szedeak - Atomeromu 83-106

Very predictable result in Szeged where first ranked Atomeromu (15-2) outscored 7th ranked Szedeak (8-9) 106-83 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Atomeromu. Szedeak was better in fourth quarter 25-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Atomeromu dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Szedeak's 38. They outrebounded Szedeak 40-22 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was naturalized American power forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. American swingman Ryan Evans (203-90, college: Wisconsin) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Atomeromu's coach Branislav Dzunic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian point guard Branko Jereminov (187-87) produced 20 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and Serbian center Darko Balaban (211-89) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Five Atomeromu and four Szedeak players scored in double figures. Atomeromu have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-2 record. Szedeak at the other side keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Atomeromu will face Falco KC (#4) in Szombathely in the next round. Szedeak will play on the road against KTE-Duna Aszfalt in Kecskemet and hope to win that game.
