Rather expected game when 8th ranked Energy Ivanovo (3-9) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Vologda-Chevakata (5-7) 84-58. Vologda-Chevakata dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Energy Ivanovo's 24. Vologda-Chevakata forced 19 Energy Ivanovo turnovers and outrebounded them 44-28 including a 30-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Center Olga Gorbacheva (193-88, agency: LBM Management) nailed 8 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and Swedish guard Elin Eldebrink (174-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) accounted for 14 points. Vologda-Chevakata's coach Dmitry Donskov felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vologda-Chevakata maintains sixth place with 5-7 record. Energy Ivanovo at the other side keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Vologda-Chevakata will play against league's leader UMMC Ekaterinburg on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
