Regular Season Round 25: Dynamo-YUZGU - MBA-Runa 79-76

Not a big story in a game in Kursk where 10th ranked MBA-Runa (6-17) was edged by fourth ranked Dynamo-YUZGU (12-11) 79-76 on Friday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Dynamo-YUZGU forced 19 MBA-Runa turnovers. MBA-Runa was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Aleksey Samokhin (196-83) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and guard Ilya Chernov (188-89) chipped in 21 points. At the losing side American point guard Dmitry Zimin (183-90, college: Bluefield) responded with 20 points and 4 assists and guard Konstantin Babynin (192-88) scored 18 points. Four MBA-Runa players scored in double figures. MBA-Runa's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Dynamo-YUZGU maintains fourth place in League with 12-11 record. Newly promoted MBA-Runa keeps the tenth position with 17 games lost. Dynamo-YUZGU will face again MBA-Runa (#10) in Moscow in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
